Bulbapedia description:
Togepi is a small, light-yellow Pokémon with a rounded, egg-shaped body. After hatching from its egg, Togepi’s body remains encased in its eggshell. That shell has a white base color, and rounded, mostly unfilled shapes (with thick borders that are either red or blue) dot the shell on all sides. Sticking out of its shell, Togepi has stubby, rounded cone arms and round feet with two toes each. Togepi has thin, black, oval eyes with thin, black arcs on their outer sides. Its head has five round-tipped, conical spikes that seem to form a crown. It also has semi-oval, brown pads on the soles of its feet.
My notes:
This cursed Togepi looks as if it was generated by AI, but of course, it was all drawn by Mum who had a vague memory of seeing it from my countless rewatches of Pokémon: The First Movie back in my childhood. This one has barely hatched from its egg, and its spiky crown seems as if it has been squeezed through the holes in its shell like Play-Doh. I like to think that the small red circle below its eyes is actually its mouth because otherwise, it’s rather creepy-looking.
Mum’s notes:
Togepi was super cute to draw – like an Easter egg crossed with a baby chick! I didn’t understand from the description that the outer shell had been broken. So in some ways, the description didn’t make sense to me, and therefore my Togepi has its limbs and crown protruding through holes in the shell. I can see now that this isn’t quite right. I enjoyed the tentacle-like crown and I tried to make one of the red circles look like a surprised little mouth.
